Carrera Counseling Services, PLLC in The Woodlands, TX offers insurance coverage options for mental health care services. Before scheduling a therapy session with us, please check with your insurance provider to verify your insurance coverage for mental health care.

We currently have providers in network with:

United Healthcare

We also take self-pay clients and clients who want to utilize out-of-network benefits. Feel free to contact us to discuss your options. You may also read the questions below for more information.

Are you an employee of a first responder agency (ex: Police department, sheriff's office, Conroe ISD PD, EMS, firefighter, etc.)? Through The Woodlands Firefighter Foundation, you and family members can have up to six sessions covered and at no cost to you. Please reach out to us for more information.

Questions to Ask When Verifying Coverage

Do you need a referral from your primary care physician to see a mental health professional? Most HMO plans do require a PCP referral.
Do you need any pre-approval from the insurance company before you see a mental health professional?
Do you need to see a mental health professional who is on a list provided by your insurance company ("in network") or are you free to choose a qualified professional?
